WHAT IS THE BOWEN TECHNIQUE
The treatment involves light rolling movements over muscles, tendons and ligaments which carefully trigger nerve endings. No hard tissue manipulation or force is used. Between the sets of moves there are breaks for the body to absorb the moves and to naturally respond. Bowen connects the brain directly to the area of a problem and allows an assessment of the tension in a specific muscle and surrounding tissue.

The treatment can be made through thin clothing. It is an Australian technique which has also been used on horses and dogs. The light pressure enables it to be used on the weak in hospitals and hospices. The therapist gives the body a series of prompts to do what the body needs to do. Top level sports personalities use Bowen before games to maintain their optimal body alignment when this is critical to their performance. Fees are £60 per session

If required Graham can normally arrange treatment during and outside working hours.
The Bowen treatment is usually through clothing so undressing is generally not required.
Payment is required at the end of the treatment.

Bowen is inexpensive by comparison to many other treatments. The session lasts for 1 hour including assessment time, with a treatment time of approximate 45 minutes depending on the presenting issue.
