The Bowen Technique is used to address a variety of conditions which arise from TMD beyond just immediate jaw issues. Conditions of the inner ear such as Labyrinthitis, Tinnitus and Meniere’s disease. Glue ear in children. Facial palsy , Bell’s palsy and Trigeminal Neuralgia. Headaches and Migraines. Dental work can be behind changes in the pressure on the jaw. Dr. John Bauman, DDS completed a research project on TMJ disorder. One third of patients felt dramatic relief of their symptoms immediately after the first Bowen treatment. Dr. Schrader has found that most patients require 2 to 3 Bowen treatments for long term relief from TMJ disorders. More work may be required where there is stress or trauma Graham Taylor had been working with clients with TMJ or TMD since 2005. He completed further advanced study in assessment and treatment with Ron Phelan in Wimpole St London in 2015.
